Barcelona were stunned at the Vincente Calderon when Atletico Madrid recorded an incredible win thanks to two goals each from Aguero And Diego Forlan.Atletico fought back from deficits of 2-0 and 3-2 before Aguero scored the winner in the 89th minute.
FIRST HALF: Atletico had a bright start in the opening minutes when Maxi Rodriguez freed Kun Aguero down the right but aguero was denied by Valdes. Soon Leo Franco prevented Eto'o from scoring the first goal of the night with a fine save.Then came the controversial moment when Maxi's deflected shot landed at the feet of John Heitinga , who netted from close range but was given off side.Replay showed that John was marginally onside.Barca then took the lead when Henry scored a stunning goal.He received a shot pass from Eto'o and curled the ball past Franco.Messi made it 2-0 after dancing through the home defence and coolly sliding the ball home.Two minutes later Forlan scored the goal of the match with his 25- yard left footed strike right into the top corner to reduce the deficit.Barca had more chances towards the end of the first half ,but Gudjohnsen missed a great opportunity to make it 3-1.
SECOND HALF:Eto'o had a decent opening in the 53rd minute when he was put through on goal but he blasted the shot way off target.Seconds later Aguero scored the equaliser by firing a low shot past Valdes .Atletico then dominated the game for the next 20 minutes .Forlan and Aguero missed a couple of chances to take the lead.Barca then re-took the lead when Gudjohnsen broke the offside trap and passed the ball to Henry who tapped into an empty net.Atletico were awarded a penalty in the 77th minute when Florent Sinama was brought down by Henry.Forlan scored from the spot to make it 3-3.Player of the match Aguero then scored the winning goal in the 89th minute with a low shot past Valdes after Puyol failed to clear the danger.
